2. Divisional Classification
Under 13 Under 13 years on 1/1/09
(born on 2/1/96 & later)
Under 14 13 years & above, but under 14 years on 1/1/09
(born between 2/1/95 & 1/1/96 inclusive)
Under 15 14 years & above, but under 15 years on 1/1/09
(born between 2/1/94 & 1/1/95 inclusive)
Under 17 15 years & above on 1/1/09
(born on 1/1/94 & earlier)
3. Registration
All participants must register themselves prior to the start of the Heats with their respective House Captains.
Ø Each House shall be allowed a maximum of 6 competitors per event.
Ø Each pupil shall be allowed to participate up to a maximum of 4 individual events in their age-group categories excluding the relays. Competitor found to violate this rule will be disqualified from the championships and all points scored by him for the House shall be nullified.
Ø Pupils are advised to check the schedule of events for the heats/finals so as to avoid clashes with other school commitments.
Closing date for registration: 6 February 2009 (Friday), recess
4. Reporting
Participants must report to the Competitors’ Steward 10 minutes before the start of their respective events. They are to report to the Competitors' Steward immediately when called upon to do so. Latecomers without valid reasons may be disqualified.
Ø Prize-winners are to report to the Prize Steward immediately upon being called. Prizes will be awarded for the first three positions of each event.
5. Absence
Ø No special trial/heat will be conducted for absentee due to reason such as 3rd Language Classes, project work, CCA competition/training, Medical Certificate, etc.
Ø Swimmers representing Singapore in overseas competition during the heats will be allowed to take a special time trial at the RI swimming pool. Results for events involving such swimmers will be released later.
6. Attire
Ø All competitors must be in the proper swimming attire, failing which they shall not be allowed to participate.
7. Conduct
Ø All swimmers, when not competing, are to remain in the Competitors Holding Area. They are not to go near the edge of the pool. Any sideline coaching or pacing may lead to the disqualification of the particular competitor/s.
Ø Warming-up in the Competition Pool may be done up to 30 minutes before the first event on the days of heats as well as on the Final Day of competition.
8. Scoring System
Ø Each competitor will score one point for his House in the first round of competition when he competes in his chosen event and his performance equals or is better then the Qualifying Standard.
Ø Points will be awarded for the top 8 placings in the Finals as follows:

10. Individual Champion
The winner will be decided based on the following order:
1) Number of individual Gold medals won in the Age-Group Category.
2) Number of records broken.
3) Number of individual Silver medals won in the Age-Group Category.
4) Number of individual Bronze medals won in the Age-Group category.
11. Divisional Champion House
Ø Highest total points for all events of the division (U14 & U17 only).
12. Overall Champion House
Ø Highest total points for all events of all divisions.
13. Protest
Ø The House Master/Mistress shall make any protest to the Meet Manager immediately after the race. If conditions causing a potential protest are noted prior to the competition, protest must be lodged before the signal to start is given. The Meet Manager shall consider all protests.
